Ok, here's a more final drawing of the scale drawing of the Sophia puppet. I was told that it was ok to have the head bigger, but I still didn't make it too much larger in order to make sure keeping it balanced in animation wouldn't be an issue.
I also did a colour drawing of the Sophia stop motion puppet, giving some thought to what the materials might be that could be used to construct it.
We also have to do our other character for CG, but I'm really uncertain about this one, so here's some basic Joey doodles:
Ofcourse, being CG, block colours probably wouldn't do unless I was aiming for Madagascar's style, so there'd need to be a texture overlayed on the top of the model, so I had a go at a sort-of prototype to see how it'd look.
Obviously, the texture I used is far from perfect, but it's good enough for a basic concept test. The level of detail on this texture would depend on the platform, whether game, broadcast or feature.
